1- Use the reading and journal writing activities in the June newsletter and turn them in
so you can earn your rewards from Mr. Henderson and Mrs. Gray!

2- Go to the public library near you to sign up for their Summer Reading Program
and earn more rewards while having fun reading.  They have incentives for teens and adults too!

Summer Reading Kick Off Programs

3- Barnes and Noble has a summer reading program as well for 1st through 6th graders. 
After students read eight (8) books and record them on their Imagination Destination Reading Journal,
they can choose a free book from the list.  Journals can be turned in from
May 22th to September 4th, 2012.  Free books are available only while supplies last.

4- Go to www.scholastic.com/summer to register and record
the number of minutes you read this summer. 
Maybe we can have more minutes than any other school in Bowie!

5- Chuck E. Cheese also has a summer reading program for which you can register.
