If you need another reason for your child to be bilingual
Scholarships given to students who can show fluency in a foreign language are a growing trend in higher education, say Matt Konrad at The Scholarship Coach blog. Most scholarships, such as the $2,000 grant from the California Association for Bilingual Education, focus on students who want to become bilingual teachers. However, the scholarships also are given to suit specific professions and preserve certain languages.
