To support school system members in the effective discharge of their responsibilities. To this end, Internal Audit will furnish them with analysis, recommendations, advisory services, and information concerning the activities intended. Internal Audit shall evaluate the school system's control procedures to protect its assets and to ensure the preparation of fair and reliable reports to management. To enhance independence, Internal Audit reports directly to the Board of Education.
