The Maryland School Assessment (MSA) will be administered to all students in Grades 3 through 8 beginning Tuesday, March 17. The MSA tests students' skills in Reading and Mathematics, and is administered each year.
To gear up for the tests, Board of Education Member Linda Thornton Thomas worked with Paulette Brown and school staff in District 4 to host a traveling MSA Pep Rally that visited four elementary schools: Barnaby Manor, Forest Heights, Fort Foote, and Flintstone. Students from the Oxon Hill HS Pom Pom Squad, Cheerleading Squad, and Majorettes led students from all grades in MSA-themed cheers, dances, and chants to energize them for next week's tests.
The students at Forest Heights ES produced a video entitled "Let the Knowledge Drop!"
