Two Maryland elementary schools have been named National Title I Distinguished Schools for the 2008-2009 school year.

Crellin Elementary School in Garrett County and Doswell E. Brooks Elementary School in Prince George’s County were among 80 Title I schools from 40 states that will be honored by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Association of State Title I Directors in a special ceremony in San Antonio, TX, this coming February.
