The Advanced Placement program allows students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school and is designed to prepare students to take and pass the AP course examinations administered nationally by the Educational Testing Service. College credit is awarded to students who meet specific college or university requirements for the respective courses. There are a minimum of 8 AP courses in every PGCPS high school.
