Dear PGCPS School Nurses:

The National Association of School Nurse Inc. (NASN) has proclaimed May 9, 2012, as National School Nurse Day. We want you to know that we greatly appreciate your commitment and dedication to the students of Prince George’s County Public Schools.

As nurses, you assist students with their immediate health care needs, promote healthy lifestyles and, provide health and safety education to students. 

You recognize that the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students is paramount to their growth and development and you are dedicated health care professionals who work in collaboration with families, schools and communities to develop and promote health care programs that will assist students.
