The Howard B. Owens Science Center has enjoyed supporting schools in offering field trip opportunities for grades K-12 in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. However, due to limited transportation funds, participating schools will need to assume responsibility for transportation costs to the Howard B. Owens Science Center. This change goes into effect for field trips beginning second quarter.  The Science Center will still arrange for the bus but the school must pay for the transportation costs. (Memo to Principals)

You can also begin accessing pre-visit and post visit materials at http://sites.google.com/a/pgcps.org/curriculum-hbosc/.  These are suggested activities that will help prepare and enrich students experiences while at the Science Center and elaborate on their experiences after their attendance.

A traveling science program is available for 5th grade in Prince George's County Public Schools.  Click on the link for the site to get more information on the program and how to register.
