2.5 hours program –May 1, 2012 through June 1, 2012 

Begin at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Visitors Center with Science on a Sphere and end at the Howard B. Owens Science Center. Students will will examine NASA satellite data obtained from the Aura satellite that is projected onto a 5 ft. 8 in. spherical representation of the earth. Students will focus on the anthropogenic causes of tropospheric ozone and the depletion of stratospheric ozone and the potential impact on the environment and personal health.  Students will conduct an activity where they examine, measure and record data from an ozone sensitive plant species that has been identified as a bio-indicator of ozone pollution.
