Parents should complete
and submit a signed Home Schooling Notification Form to the Home Schooling
Office at firstname.lastname@example.org
Home School application
take approximately 15 days to process.
Parents will need to take a copy of the endorsed Home Schooling
Notification Form to the boundary school for official withdrawal.

Schedule a Portfolio
Home school parents are
required to have two portfolio reviews each year. Portfolio reviews will be
conducted at PGCPS administrative buildings located in the northern, central
and southern regions of the county. Fall
reviews will begin in November. Parents
can schedule the portfolio review for the location and date that is most
convenient to them.

Enrolling into a PGCPS Public School from Home Schooling
In order to enroll a
student from homeschooling into a PGCPS public school, parents must complete the Application for Admission to PGCPS
(PS-48 form) and a Homeschool Change of Status Notification form. Both forms should be submitted to the
Homeschooling Office and endorsed by a Home Schooling Office official prior to
