• March 20, 2018 - All after school and evening activities, including Evening High School, are cancelled. Tonight's Board of Education meeting is cancelled and is rescheduled for Thursday, March 29, 2018. 

    PGCPS Before and After Care Programs are closing at 4pm today.

    Tonight's Science and Technology Open House Information Session for Oxon Hill High School is rescheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Please email ohhs.st@pgcps.org if you have any additional questions. Also, tonight's Academy of Health Sciences Parent Information Session is cancelled.           Highland Park Elementary Talented and Gifted Elementary School is a student focused, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, which provides a culture of mutual respect and high academic achievement through a rigorous instructional program that will prepare students to be college and career ready.         

     We strive to accomplish this vision by maintaining high expectations for teaching and learning; sustaining a safe, positive, and inviting school climate; monitoring the progress of students on a frequent basis to provide prescriptive measures as necessary; and promoting effective teamwork and communication among all members of the learning community.
