Overview: The Office of Higher Education Partnerships serves as the point of contact between Prince George’s County Public Schools and Institutions of Higher Education, IHE.  Among the office’s duties are: 

• Establishing partnerships with IHE’s 
• Documenting existing and new partnerships 
• Developing and overseeing Masters Programs in High Need Areas 
• Increasing partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, HBCU’s for the purpose of providing our students with increased access to college and working to increase the number of new teachers employed in PGCPS from HBCU’s 
• Increasing the opportunities for students to earn college credits while still in high school 
• Supporting and organizing programs designed to increase the pool of  new teachers
