School Uniform Information
For several months, a group of parents have met regarding the desire to implement a School Uniform Policy at High Bridge Elementary School. In accordance with Administrative Procedure No. 0600, a petition was circulated seeking support for a mandatory school uniform policy at High Bridge. The signed petition was to be returned to school by March 25th, 2010.
The required percentage of signatures was acquired and a Uniform Committee was established. The committee has created a uniform policy was been sent home on April 16th along with a ballot.
Voting will take place between April 16th and April 22nd.
Any ballots turned in after 3:00 p.m. on April 22nd will not be accepted. The ballots should be turned in to your child's homeroom teacher.
The uniform policy included along with the ballot is for EVERY student at High Bridge Elementary School. Ballots are also available on the PTA website, but MUST be turned in to your child's homeroom teacher.
While it is not our purpose to persuade you in one way or another regarding the School Uniform Policy Proposal, it is extremely important you cast your vote. You will be allowed one vote for each child you have currently enrolled at High Bridge Elementary. It shall take the affirmative vote of 75% of all ballots RETURNED to the school to establish a mandatory school uniform program. For example, if only 12 ballots are returned and 9 indicate a vote in the affirmative, then High Bridge Elementary School will wear required uniforms for the 2010-2011 school year.
Therefore, it is vital you cast your vote!
Questions concerning the uniform policy should be directed to the School Uniform Committee at High Bridge Elementary School.
