    PARCC :

    2017 PARCC Fall block administration

    The 2017 PARCC fall block administration window is scheduled for November 27 to January 16. The following students are required to participate:

    • Students who entered the 9th grade in SY 2015-16 and took the Algebra 1 and/or English 10 assessment in 2016-17, but failed the assessment with a score below 725 and/or did not achieve the combined score (as set by MSDE (See pages 10-12 Assessment Requirements)

    • Students who previously earned an Algebra I course credit but do not have an Algebra HSA or PARCC ALG01 score on file

    • Students who previously earned an English II course credit but do not have an English HSA or PARCC ENG10 score on file

    • Students currently enrolled in the following semester (semester 1 only) courses: Algebra 1 and English II

    • Seniors that have not met CCR requirements in ELA and Math


      Cooler weather is upon us and will remain for some time. This is a reminder that coats cannot be worn in the school building and that any sweater or jacket should be white, yellow or black. Please see our uniform policy on the school web page.

       GPHS Uniform Policy

      Scholarship Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Tau Delta Zeta Chapter:

      The due date for the scholarship is, Friday, January 26, 2018.  It must be postmarked by this date or the application will be ineligible.  The requirements for the scholarship are:


    • Must be a young lady living in Prince George's County graduating from high school for 2017-2018 School Year

    • Completed application (neatly handwritten or typed)

    • Two recommendation letters - It states that they should come from high school administrators but one can come from a high school teacher/administrator and the other from outside of your high school

    • Typed 300-600 word essay on the following topic: "Being realistic is the most commonly traveled road to mediocrity." Will Smith.  What uncommon methods have you used to make sure you were successful at reaching a goal?

    • High School Resume

    • An official transcript

    • A copy of your college/university acceptance

      Schools will close 2 hours early on Monday November, 13th.  Gwynn Park High will release at 12:25 pm.


      The next payment date for Senior Packages is Nov 27th.  If a package isn’t selected by this date, the only thing that can be ordered is a cap and gown.  No other packages can be ordered after that date other than the cap and gown.
