Welcome to the Green Valley Instructional Academy website. Green Valley is one of two alternative high schools in the Prince George's County Public School System. We provide instruction and support to students in Prince Georges County who have had trouble adjusting to the mainstream high school environment, both academically and socially. Behavioral points are based on respect, responsibility, attentiveness, positive interaction and feedback within
the entire school. Green Valley enforces a uniform policy that must be adhered to at all times.
We provide smaller class sizes and a diverse staff to assist students with their academic goals. Students are
evaluated not only based upon their grades, but also their behavior and appearance using our Student Point
System. Students gain points by drafting a solid daily goal and behaving appropriately throughout the course
of the day. When a specified number of points have been accumulated by the student, he/she is rewarded
