QUICK TIPS FOR PROCESSING 
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY GRANTS & REPORTS
 

 Pencil 

NOTIFY 

Notify the Department of Strategic Planning & Grants Development (SPGD) of the intent to write a grant. 

 Pencil 

SEND 

Send a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) to the SPGD.

READ 

Read the Request for Proposals (RFP) carefully for information and data that needs to be obtained.

FOLLOW 

Follow all guidelines in the RFP packet.

ATTEND 

Attend technical assistance workshops conducted by the grantor.

DEVELOP 

Develop an action plan with timeline parameters for completing the grant.

CONTACT 

Contact the offices of Research, Evaluation and Accountability (REA) and Budget for input during the draft stage of the proposal.

EDIT 

Edit for spelling, content and grammatical errors. 

Pencil 

CHECK 

Check all mathematical computations and budgetary components for accuracy.

SECURE 

Secure the signature of the Assistant Superintendent,  Executive Director and/or appropriate Department Director/Principal before submitting the grant to the SPGD.

SUBMIT 

Submit to the SPGD the completed proposal inclusive of input from REA and Budget, TEN working days before the due date of the grant.

CALL 

Call the SPGD TWO days before delivering the proposal to ensure that someone from the department will be available to receive and process the grant.
