MISSION
SECTION 1: MISSION
The Department of Strategic Planning and Performance (SPP) provides two (2) Core Services to customers. SPP provides strategic planning (coordination, development, and submission of the Bridge to Excellence Master Plan Update and PGCPS Strategic Overview) and grant seeking to PGCPS divisions/departments and community partners to support the school system in meeting strategic priorities.
The department’s mission supports the "Strive for Five" Strategic Goal(s) and is directly aligned with Goall #5:
“STRIVE FOR FIVE” STRATEGIC GOALS

- STRATEGIC PLANNING
|
SPP collaborates with executive leadership to define the system’s strategic direction and determine the required resources to pursue its priorities. A significant aspect of this work is the development and update of the Bridge to Excellence Master Plan.

- GRANT SEEKING
|
SPP identifies sources and helps to secure funding to support the system’s priorities. This is accomplished through the following activities:
- Soliciting Executive Cabinet Input
- Developing proposals (system and school-based)
- Conducting research on funding opportunities

AVAILABLE SERVICES
- Accessibility to Funding Opportunities
- Grant-Writing Training and Technical assistance
- Oversight of the implementation of Master Plan
- Strategic Planning Consultation
