MISSION
SECTION 1: MISSION
The Department of Strategic Planning and Grants Development (SPGD) provides three (3) Core Services to customers. SPGD provides strategic planning (coordination, development, and submission of the Bridge to Excellence Master Plan Update), grants management, and grant seeking to PGCPS divisions/departments and community partners to support the school system in meeting strategic priorities.

SECTION 2: CORE SERVICES

DESCRIPTION |
1. STRATEGIC PLANNING |
SPGD collaborates with executive leadership to define the system’s strategic direction and determine the required resources to pursue its priorities. A significant aspect of this work is the development and update of the Bridge to Excellence Master Plan. |
2. GRANTS MANAGEMENT |
SPGD provides grants management services to PGCPS departments to increase operational efficiency and accountability. Through grant monitoring and oversight, SPGD helps the system build capacity and ensures program compliance. This is accomplished through the following activities: § Post-award implementation orientation § Compliance workshops § Grants Management (includes monitoring and oversight, on-site visits, phone/email communications, and desk review) § Required reporting (performance, time & effort, and amendments) |
3. GRANT SEEKING |
SPGD identifies sources and helps to secure funding to support the system’s priorities. This is accomplished through the following activities: § Soliciting Executive Cabinet Input § Developing proposals (system and school-based) § Conducting research on funding opportunities |
