NEW PROCEDURE FOR OUR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be issued a green or orange safety vest at the beginning of the year for the 2017-2018 academic year. The purpose of having students wear the vests to and from school on the bus is to assist the drivers and bus attendants in identifying Pre-K and Kindergarten students on our buses before they get off so that they ensure the students are at the correct bus stop and verify that there is an authorized adult or family member there to receive them. EffectiveSeptember 6, 2017 all Pre-K and Kindergarten students in PGCPS will receive a brightly colored orange or green neon vest that they will be expected to wear during their daily commute to and from school. Students should not put their names or their bus number on the vests. Students should wear their vest on a daily basis from the beginning of the school year until October 6, 2017.  Any Pre-K or Kindergarten students who register after October 6, 2017 day of school will be issued a vest to wear for their first 30 days. The replacement cost of the vest is $5 per student.    Thank you for your support.  Safety is a priority!
