    What is our VISION for G. James Gholson Middle School? 

    We at GJGMS will provide a healthy and collaborative community where students develop literacy skills across all content areas and are afforded opportunities for problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-awareness in order to become globally competitive citizens in a changing society.

    Mission Statement (How do we get there?)

    All GJGMS stakeholders will work collaborate and communicate effectively to create a respectful, safe, and orderly environment where there is a passion for innovative teaching and lifelong learning. 

     

    G. James Gholson Middle School Uniform Policy   

     G. James Gholson is a Mandatory Uniform School. The uniform policy will be enforced for all students. Each student must be dressed each day in full uniform. The following are the accepted uniform items for all students:

    Seventh Grade Uniforms: Royal Blue polo shirt with collar (short or long sleeve)

    Eighth Grade Uniforms: Gold polo shirt with collar (short or long sleeve)

    All Students - Bottom: Light brown Khaki pants (no jogger, carpenter, stretch, cargo, jeans, jeggings/leggings pants)
    Light Brown Khaki skirts (need to be knee length)
    Close-toed shoes (preferably black but not required)
    Brown or black belt (at no time should undergarments be showing)
    Black cardigan sweater (button or zipper down front, can open fully, NO pull-over sweaters or Hoodies).

    Gym Uniform:  Plain Gray t-shirt (no logos), Black gym shorts (knee length) 

    -Headdresses can only be worn indoors for religious or health reasons
