Welcome to a new and exciting school year! The staff and I are honored to have this opportunity to collaborate, engage, and continue to develop relationships with you and your child this school year.

 At Francis Scott Key, differences are appreciated, excellence and achievement are expected and effort is rewarded. We believe high expectations yield academic success for all students! Every staff member is committed to doing their part to ensure that your child achieves academic excellence; and we look forward to working with you to guarantee the accomplishment of that goal.  Our instructional program will be rigorous, challenging and rewarding. 

To ensure a successful school year please:

• Make sure your child’s attendance and preparation for school are priority.  Your child must report to school no later than 7:30 a.m. - INSTRUCTION BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 7:45 AM DAILY; 
• School Hours:  7:45 a.m.-1:55 p.m.  

All students will be marked tardy at 7:45 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Ensure you child comes to school in uniform daily.  We are now a mandatory uniform school! 
• Expect homework Monday through Friday, and projects on occasion; 
• Allot time for reading and practicing basic math facts with your child nightly; 
• Join the PTO.
