Greetings Parents/Guardians and Students,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to another new school year at Fairmont Heights High School! As we embark on this school
year I ask you to partner with us as we seek to actualize our school’s vision
and mission.
The vision of Fairmont Heights High School (FHHS) is to
continually ignite curiosity and facilitate habits of the mind, which create
globally contributing citizens. Our mission is to empower students to
become life-long learners dedicated to achieving academic excellence and
becoming active members in a global community that exemplifies duty, honor, and
citizenship.
Last school year we began to facilitate the “habits of mind”
through our school-wide instructional model as well as our Information
Technology (IT) program. This school year we will continue to build upon that
success by providing our students with opportunities for growth both
academically and socially. We will also continue to exemplify our core values at
FHHS which are duty, honor and citizenship.
At FHHS, we believe that it is our duty to promote of academic excellence, high and rigorous
standards, data-driven analysis, family engagement, and meaningful professional
development for staff members. We believe that it is an honorable pursuit to be
able to work each day to provide students with a quality education. It also our
desire that through our school-wide culture we will develop students who are
academically prepared as well as students that exhibit unwavering character and
