Calvert Curriculum
Before and Aftercare:	EXCEL Academy partners with a local childcare provider to provide before and aftercare for students.
School Lunch:	EXCEL Academy participates in the National School Lunch program. Meals are free or available at a reduced price to those students who qualify.
Uniforms:	EXCEL Academy has elected to be a uniform school. GRADE LEVEL COLORS Kindergarten - White First Grade - Yellow Second Grade - Light Blue Third Grade - Red Fourth Grade - Navy Blue Fifth Grade - Burgundy Sixth Grade - White
Transportation:	EXCEL Academy partners with a local transportation provider to get students to our before and aftercare providers.
School Hours:	7:50 am- 2:10 pm

EXCEL Academy employs an innovative collaboration of the Calvert School curriculum and the Prince Georges County Public Schools’ curriculum. The Calvert School curriculum is an internationally recognized and approved curriculum from the Calvert School. Our teachers integrate facets of the Prince Georges County Public Schools’ curriculum based upon individual students’ academic needs. To ensure reading achievement for our students, EXCEL Academy uses the Literacy First process in its reading instruction. Character Education, Art, Health, and technology are also part of the Excel Academy culture. A strong culture of parental participation in school operations and governance is a vital and pivotal facet of EXCEL Academy Public Charter School.
