	Congratulations to all of our more than 100 new AVID scholars for 2012-2013.  Welcome to the program, and way to go! AVID is a national college readiness program targeting student in the "middle" academically.  Motivated students enroll in AVID upon the recommendations of their teachers and after an interview and application process.  In AVID, students are exposed early and often to the college experience through rigorous instruction, project-based learning, intensive critical reading and writing, and other opportunities.
