Our Class Reunion

Every ten years, the big event grows near
A reunion is planned; over the top, glitzy and 'Grand'
An announcement arrives in some form of mail
There is no question to it, being there you will prevail
Class reunions are the perfect recipe
Of indelible memories of what we would be
Where we good scouts to do as we planned
Or stirred a life's pot of goulash and spicy cayenne
So many memories of our youth were good
Growing up to the unknown from our home and 'hood
A lively, most certain and unforgettable event
Recalling, describing what happened back then
Your name, your face, your sound is of grace
My friend, it is You and time cannot replace
Our youth began from a road near and far
This is our class reunion –we are who we are

Sharing our life pathways, our testimony and
our climb
Soon this moment will end of yesterday's time
Listening to our change, our failure and our success
We live, we show-up, we are accountable and
we’re blessed
As we mingle and move around in the crowd
Countless conversations sounding alike and aloud
‘Do you remember when? Oh Yeah! Did you hear,
it in the news?'
'Boy! You haven't changed. And it's great to see you.’
Click the moment away with photos and such
Say your good-byes and promises to stay in touch
An opportunity, a life time to mark—it’s not too late
By phone, by letter, by email or a lunch date
The day winds down, "It’s time to go!”
Once again back to your own life you know
By GOD's will, live your life good and
