Ref: DuVal High School's Response to Safety Concerns
Dear Parents, Students & Staff:
Parents,
in light of recent events, this letter is to share with you that Duval High
School is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of your child/children. Please know that as a part of this effort, we
are asking students or parents to report any incidences of threatening
statements made toward the school in general or toward student groups within
the school.
Once
the school receives information of this magnitude we immediately take the
maximum disciplinary steps in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct, 10101 to address the issue and
refer those involved to outside agencies as deemed necessary.
We
are requesting that you please talk with your child/children to remind them
that they should immediately let school officials know if they hear any threat
of violence towards the school and please also let them know that all reports
will be taken seriously and will result in immediate action.
The safety of our
children is paramount. We appreciate your partnering with us to ensure that
Duval High School remains the safe and orderly learning environment conducive
to teaching and learning.

Attention Parents !!
We are entering an exciting new year at DuVal High School. Students are expected at ALL Times to be in their full uniform:
- ALL Black or ALL White Collared, Polo-style Shirt;
- Khaki-Tan Pants apply for All Students;
- Khaki-Tan Skirts, Skorts, Jumpers; and
- Student School ID a MUST!
Parents, please make sure our students are prepared for school on a daily basis. Thank you for partnering with us in education.
