DuVal High School Mission:

The mission of DuVal High School is to prepare our students to compete successfully for desirable academic and career opportunities in an increasingly global society.  High expectations for learning and teaching, ongoing assessments for student and teacher performance, strategic and differentiated instruction and productive stakeholder partnerships will ensure that all students are prepared to meet their personal goals, regardless of their race, gender, family background or special needs.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to all those students and parents for a tremendous first half of the year.  We want to encourage everyone to step it up and master the possibilities during this semester. These are exciting times at DuVal High School. We re planning for secondary school reform with exciting and challenging academies. Our award-winning choir will travel to Atlanta to perform. Our cheerleaders regained the crown of 4A county champions and we have one of the area's best basketball teams! And our students are registering for Advanced Placement courses for next school year!

As always, students are expected to be in their full uniform which is an all black or all white collared shirt, tan khaki pants, and a student ID. Class shirts or athletic shirts are not acceptable. Parents, please make sure our students are prepared for school on a daily basis. Thank you for partnering with us in education.
