    Parents are invited to hear guest speaker, Dr. Dana Cunningham, Director of Prince George's School Mental Health Initiative, topic "Pursuit of Wellness" tomorrow night, April 17th, 7 p.m. in Lecture Hall 1. Please enter via the rear of the building next to playground.

    Membership drive for SY 2018-19, $15 for per parent in the household, $10 for Wise faculty and $5 for Wise students.

    This
    questionnaire is intended to gather input for the Wise Town Hall Meeting, Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 7 pm.  Your responses will help the Wise community identify areas of strength, areas for improvement as well as help us bridge gaps and create solutions for an overall positive environment.


    February 2018 Announcements

    Please consider donating teacher supplies on February 20th at our General PTSO Mtg. (7:00 pm). If you can not attend, drop off your supplies in the main office labeled Wise PTSO. Items will be placed in the Principal's Conference Room.

    Suggestions: dry erase markers, erasers, white out, red, blue & black ink pens, #2 pencils, highlighters, erasers, ream of copy paper (white & assorted colors), hand sanitizer, boxes of Kleenex, clorox wipes, sticky notepads, Scotch tape, tape dispenser, stapler, staples, staple removers, file folders, two pocket folders, scissors, glue sticks, Elmer’s glue, posters (all sizes), sharpies, post-it flags, calculators, hole punchers, electric pencil sharpeners.

    School clubs/organizations consider selling items as a fundraiser, parent/teachers can set up tables to start your Spring cleaning.

    Please be advised that the General PTSO Meeting for this month has been changed from January 16th to January 23rd, Tuesday, 7pm, in Lecture Hall 1. We are still accepting memberships and selling Wise Mom & Dad T-Shirts. A monthly drawing for prizes is conducted attend your PTSO Meeting to enter. You must be present to win.

    The first Wise PTSO Spring Fling Yard Sale and Zumbathon 
    We are seeking vendors and certified Zumba instructors. The vendor fee and application form will be posted during the month of January. We are interested in food trucks, moon bounce, face painting, video gaming truck vendors who have their one day license and liability coverage adding Wise PTSO.     Honey Baked Ham Gift Certificate Drawing

    Wise PTSO drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Honey Baked Ham. Other meat choices are available and side dishes for the holidays.

    You do not need to be present to win. The gift certificate will be presented by December 20th to the recipient. Entry forms are available now for a $5 donation each entry. 

    The drawing will be held at Dr. Wise, Jr. HS Lecture Hall 1 on December 19th, after the 7 p.m. Pathways to College & 10 Steps to Financial Literacy Seminar. Contact a PTSO Executive Board Member, Ms. Jasmine Stewart, a teacher on campus or email wiseptso@gmail.com for entry forms.

    The Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) next meeting is November 21st, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Lecture Hall 1. We are adopting several families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Please bring non-perishable goods, and gift cards to purchase meats to make a family's holiday bright. 

    Wise Mom, Wise Dad, Proud Mom, Proud Day T-shirts are on sale now. Prices are $12 for M, L, XL and $14 for 2XL, 3XL and 4XL. Hurry shirts are selling fast. See a representative Friday, Nov. 10th, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Main Street. Cash, Debit/Charge accepted

    Principal Byonka Gregory will present the new grading policy. Come out to here her presentation and ask questions.
