What's New at DFMS?

Casey Tree Planting

Drew Freeman Middle School has been selected to participate in the Casey Tree

Planting Program this fall allowing us to plant fruit trees at Drew Freeman Middle School.

The first planting will be 5-6 trees in the Fall and the second planting will be 5-6 trees in the spring.

Casey Trees is interested in doing several plantings with Drew Freeman in the future specifically

with Shade Trees at the school. DFMS will be the first tree planting for Casey Trees in

Prince George's County, Maryland.

28 students will participate in the tree planting. 3 students per tree for the fruit trees

(3 students x 4 fruit trees) = 12 fruit tree planters. 4 students per tree for the cherry trees

(4 students x 4 cherry trees) = 16 trees. A total of 28 students.
