Boys Basketball Game of the Week
 
Friday nights game was selected to be the high school Game of the Week featuring former NBA star Walt Williams as one of the play-by-play announcers! Please come show your support and Eagle Pride at tonight's contest vs. the Largo Lions.  The game will air on channel 1 of Verizon FiOS on Fri. Feb. 5 at 11:30 pm and Sun. Feb. 7 at 9:30 am & 5:30 pm. It will be available On Demand in the next few days.

Parent Liaison Survey
 
We are encouraging all of our parents to complete the Parent Liaison Survey in order for PG County to analyze the effectiveness of our Parent Liaison.  Thank you for your input.
 
Senior Graduation Requirement
 
All paperwork must be submitted by Monday, February 1st for the required 36 hours of community service in order for students to be a part of the graduation ceremony and take part in other senior activities.
 
College Expo
 
Gwynn Park High School Annual College Expo is open to ALL students in Prince George's County and surrounding metropolitan areas. This event will allow students to receive on-the-spot college acceptances, meet college/universities recruiters, attend financial aid and college preparation workshops, and access to post secondary options!  Click here to view the promotional flyer for the event!

Teenage Afterschool Enrichment Program
 
World View Christian Center is sponsoring a Teenage Afterschool Enrichment Program at the 3087 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20602.  You may contact World View at 301-372-0053 for additional information.  The program runs Monday - Friday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. for a fee of $65.00 per week.

Art Club Places 3rd in County Snow Plow Mural Competition

The FDHS Art Club placed 3rd in the PG County Snow Plow Mural Competition.  To see pictures of their winning mural and other submissions click here.

Uniform Policy

Students are required to wear only approved uniform items to school everyday.  If there is a special event for which students have earned a dress-down pass the student will have that pass prior to the dress-down day.  All items must be on the Approved Mandatory Uniform Garments document even for cases of cold or hot weather or classrooms.

FDHS's Ace Tai Heath on WUSA9

Junior Tai Heath was recognized on WUSA9 for her talent on the volleyball court and in the kitchen.  She lead the Lady Eagles volleyball team to a 2A/3A Championship title this year and she makes designer cakes in her spare time.  Click here to watch the broadcast.
