COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS

Update 3-8-16 on School Consolidations and Boundary Changes  

After careful consideration, the CEO has decided to move forward with the consolidation of Forestville High School and Skyline Elementary School. Students in the Autism Program at Skyline Elementary School will be served at two smaller autism sites (locations to be announced).

No other proposed boundary or grade changes will go forward at this time. That means that the boundaries for Accokeek Academy, Buck Lodge Middle, and Friendly High remain unchanged. Elementary schools which were proposed to transfer their sixth grade to middle schools will also remain unchanged for the coming school year.

 A Public Hearing was held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Board of Education in Upper Marlboro to obtain public input on the CEO's plan for Boundary changes & Consolidations.

Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes.
