DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD– On August 16, Carolyn George-Remy, principal of Concord Elementary School joined Pat Lawson Muse, of NBC Washington, at the Tenleytown CVS Pharmacy in Washington, D.C. for their Annual Backpack 4 Kids campaign.

“Many of our students will benefit from the generous efforts of those who donated school supply items,” said Dr. William R. Hite, Jr., Superintendent of Schools. “Thank you to NBC Washington and CVS for supporting the education of Prince George's County students. As a result of your donations, our students will have a great start to the new school year.”

New school supplies and backpacks were donated for local elementary school students throughout the day. Pre-stuffed backpacks were available at specific CVS Pharmacy stores for customers to purchase and donate. Donations will help students who are in need of school supplies.
