News Release: Stay Informed With Emergency Alerts

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — ARE YOU READY FOR A SCHOOL EMERGENCY?In preparation for inclement weather, natural disasters or other types of emergencies, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) encourages parents, guardians, teachers, staff and community members to sign up for email or text e-Alerts. This is the best way to stay informed about school emergencies, delayed openings, early dismissals and/or closings of schools and offices. Individuals should also review the telephone number on file with their child’s school to ensure they will receive emergency notifications through the school system’s Global Connect communication system.
