BACKGROUND:

On October 17, 2012, Prince George’s County Public Schools will attend NSO Young People’s concert performances, celebrating both real and fictional heroes. Dr. Alvin L. Crawley, Interim Superintendent of Schools will also narrate Copland’s A Lincoln Portrait during the two performances.

About The National Symphony Orchestra: NSO performances for Young Audiences include full orchestra Family Concerts and Young People’s Concerts for school groups and performances by small ensembles for ages 3 to teens – nearly 60 performances for children and families each season. These NSO performances introduce classical music to children in an atmosphere of fun.
