PGCPS Gears Up for Back to School

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — As Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) prepares to start the 2012-13 academic year on Monday, Aug. 20, families can take advantage of helpful information on the school system website (www.pgcps.org) and at the upcoming Back-to-School Fair.

Information on transportation, student schedules, school supplies, food and nutrition services, before and aftercare extended learning programs, bell schedules and more can be found at www1.pgcps.org/backtoschool/.

Parents or guardians are encouraged to register children for the new school year as soon as possible. For information on registration requirements, call local schools or get additional details online. The PGCPS website also includes the 2012-13 calendar.

The annual Back-to-School Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Show Place Arena from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fair will feature academic and community resources, entertainment, food and giveaways.
