Martin Luther King MS Teacher Named Outstanding Science Educator

UPPER MARLBORO, MD -- Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School teacher Elizabeth Butler was named an outstanding science educator by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Butler was selected for the honor among teachers of math and science at middle schools in Prince George’s, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties.

“Prince George’s County Public Schools teachers continue to be recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom,” said Dr. William R. Hite, Superintendent of Schools. “Having talented teachers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics is critical as we work towards increasing STEM opportunities for students.”
