BACKGROUND:

Barnaby Manor Elementary School principal Rhonda Gladden promised to eat fried worms – just like the main character in the popular book and movie, “How to Eat Fried Worms” – if her students read 15,000 books this school year. Now that the students have read more than 17,000 books, Gladden will hold up her end of the deal at a school-wide assembly.
