BACKGROUND:
The Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Head Start program will sponsor its annual family day with the theme “A Day in May.” This year’s event features fun activities for all ages, including music, food vendors and a moon bounce. The event will also offer health information and activities, including free health assessments.

Designed to serve economically-disadvantaged families, the national Head Start Program provides an integrated system of quality services. Through the federally-funded program, families receive early childhood education for children ages three to five and health, nutrition and parent involvement services and support.
