FANCY NANCY: Stellar Stargazer! Planetarium Show

March 2 and March 9 • 7:30 p.m. Howard B. Owens Science Center • 9601 Greenbelt Road, Lanham

The center will host a live reading under the stars of the best-selling book, followed by a tour of the sky. Fans who come dressed as “Fancy Nancy” will receive a small token. Cost: $3 for students/senior citizens/teachers, $5 for adults. Children 3 and under are free.

Melwood Elementary School International Family Night

Russ Parr from the “Russ Parr Morning Show” (93.9/WKYS-FM) will be a special guest at International Family Night, hosted by the Melwood Elementary PTA. The event will celebrate diversity, acknowledging the countries represented among students at the school. Students will dance, sing, display artwork and enjoy various foods from other countries.

César Chávez Elementary School Dance Extravaganza

March 9 6 - 8 p.m.

The dance extravaganza will feature performances from Hyattsville Middle School and Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Proceeds will go towards a school marquee.

History Day Competition

The annual History Day Competition, hosted by the PGCPS Social Studies Department, will feature projects from approximately 300 middle and high school students. The awards ceremony will immediately follow the competition at 1:30 p.m.
