 WHAT: Community Energy Fair 

 

 WHEN:  Saturday, January 28

BACKGROUND: 

The Community Energy Fair will feature age-appropriate energy and science games, and an exhibit hall with information about low-cost tips and utility programs, efficient lighting and window options, composting and other energy-efficient ideas. 

 

The town of University Park plans to install the county’s first solar power array at University Park Elementary through a federal grant. The program – Small Town Energy Program for University Park (STEP-UP) – is designed to improve energy efficiency by 20 percent in homes over the next three years and serve as a roadmap for small towns nationwide. 

 

Speakers will give remarks from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
