Specialty Showcase

UPPER MARLBORO, MD—More than 1,000 parents and students attended the Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) annual Specialty Schools Showcase on Tuesday. This year’s showcase, held at Charles H. Flowers High School, spotlighted programs available to students across the county at all grade levels.

“The showcase was a wonderful opportunity for parents to learn more about our diverse offerings,” said Dr. William R. Hite Jr., Superintendent of Schools. “Our students have the opportunity to enroll in programs such as Creative and Performing Arts, International Baccalaureate, French Immersion, and many more.”

Program representatives were available to share information and answer questions. Parents received information about the admissions process, applications and more.

“I was very happy with the variety of programs that Prince George's County Public Schools has to offer,” said parent Kimberly Rains, whose two children attend Imagine Foundations I Public Charter School.

Rains’ children will enter high school next year and she wanted to know more about various programs. “I’m here planning for the future,” she said.
