Imagine Lincoln Public Charter School, located in Temple Hills, Maryland received national attention from Imagine Schools by showing significant improvement in the area of Academic Achievement. Additionally, Imagine Lincoln was recognized by Imagine Schools as the 2011 Most Improved School of the year. The awards were announced on July 13 during the Imagine Schools' seventh annual National Forum in Phoenix, Arizona.
Imagine Lincoln’s overall math scores on the 2011 Maryland School Assessment (MSA) increased by 13.2% percentage points, the highest overall gains in Prince George’s County. Imagine Schools also measures annual individual student learning gains by administering the Stanford 10 standardized test in the fall and spring of the academic year, during which Imagine Lincoln students achieved average learning gains of a year or more in both Math and Reading, with 68% of students gaining more than a year in Math.
Founder Dennis Bakke reminds us that, “We (Imagine Schools) are here to help parents to educate their children….parents choose us, therefore we have to continuously be at our best.”
