• March 20, 2018 - All after school and evening activities, including Evening High School, are cancelled. Tonight's Board of Education meeting is cancelled and is rescheduled for Thursday, March 29, 2018.

    Tonight's Science and Technology Open House Information Session for Oxon Hill High School is rescheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 6:00 PM.     Charles Carroll is a Title 1 middle school built in 1959 and located in the New Carrollton neighborhood in central Prince George’s County, Maryland. Currently, the school serves students from three communities: West Lanham Hills, Landover Hills, and New Carrollton.  All three neighborhoods are culturally diverse with varying ranges of socio-economic statuses.

    CCMS will provide a safe and rigorous learning environment where stakeholders work collaboratively to close the opportunity gap for students. This will be accomplished by teaching the students cognitive strategies needed to be committed and courageous in pursuit of their dreams.


    To be an academic learning center for stakeholders focused on the development of children by instilling the values of Cougar P.R.I.D.E: Prepared, Respectful, Inquisitive, Disciplined, Empowered in order for our our scholars to excel in rigorous high school programs.

    Born and raised in Washington, DC, Mrs. Monroe is a graduate of Prince George's County Public Schools. She has a passion for educating children and supporting families. She sees her role as an administrator as one of "support" leading teachers, student and their families to excellence. This Mrs. Monroe's 19th year in education She is proud to serve the students of Charles Carroll and will accept nothing but GREATNESS!!

    As an agent of change, my philosophical belief is that all children can learn. With this basic premise, it embraces a commitment by all stakeholders in ensuring that student come first and that we aim for excellence. As one of the instructional leaders, I envision engaging the staff in a myriad of rigorous and challenging instructional activities that will ensure that our students excel at the highest level.

    Born and raised in Norfolk, Va, Mr. Green has always had a passion for helping students achieve in school and in life.  Mr. Green, a life long learner, believes education is a tool that can empower students to achieve their dreams.  This year is Mr. Green's eighteenth year in education and he is looking forward to serving the students, staff, parents, and community of Charles Carroll Middle School.
