        It's a brand new day and a new direction this year. Our focus is on organization, planning and discipline. Many Great things are happening at Charles Carroll, so please stop by and support us in our growth! As a staff, we support the Prince Georges County Public Schools mission of ensuring that all students acquire the foundation they need to become life-Long learners able to compete in the global market. We hold high expectations for all students and support them in the context of strong instructional leadership and  a safe and orderly environment. 

     This year students will have have additional instructional time, the AVID program, additional remedial programs and extra curricular time built into their daily schedule. Instead of 90 minute sessions students will have 72 minute class sessions and visit their classes on a daily basis. Thus exposing them to their classes more often. Students will be provided agenda books the first day of class to keep track of assignments and important information. In addition, students will have 4 minutes to transfer between classes at the bell without delay. At this time they will be permitted to go their locker as needed however they must be to class on time before the late bell. 

    Our extended learning opportunity (ELO) Program is an instructional strategy designed to bolster the performance of students requiring additional assistance in math and reading on the Maryland School Assessment. Knowing the critical nature of parental involvement in student learning, we place a high premium on the input and involvement of all stakeholders: parent, students, staff and community.  

     All students should be working towards academic excellence by using the 6 principles of OPD which are: Organization, planning, discipline,opportunity,purpose and decision. So as to not live other peoples dreams.
