ESOL

Classes 

English Language Arts/ESOL 1 - This semester long, single period course grants grade level English credit and is to be scheduled consecutively with a second semester single period course.  This course develops the beginning English language skills of Limited English Proficient students in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Language of Math  is a course designed for limited speakers of English to help with the particular English jargon of mathematics.  Topics covered include an extensive review of elementary and middle school math in preparation for ESOL Algebra 1.  This course meets daily.

Language of American History is a course designed for limited speakers of English to help with the particular concepts covered in American History with a limited English vocabulary.  This course lays the foundation for ESOL US History and ESOL Local State and National Government (LSN)

Pre-Conceptual Physics  Lays the foundation for ESOL Integrated Science and ESOL Biology for limited speakers of English

English Language Arts/ESOL (2  and 3) -  These full year courses that meet daily, grant grade level English credit and are designed for Limited English Proficient students who have completed ESOL 1.

The following subjects are taught by qualified ESOL teachers and use modified ESOL curriculums that are designed to work with students with moderate reading and speaking ability in English
