Experiential Learning is a formally structured work readiness program of study that enables students in grades 11 and 12 to prepare for and gain “hands on” experience in the workplace. CTE collaborates with local businesses, labor, nonprofit, and government agencies. The focus is to identify career interest internships, mentoring, and pre-apprenticeship experiential learning experiences that help students make the connection between classroom instruction and the world of work.

Students are required to complete a work readiness elective course prior to being placed in employment. Once placed in employment, students attend school half day and then report to their work assignment. Experiential Learning can help students make more informed career decisions or lead to full time employment after graduation.
