Principal's Corner
Dear Parents/Guardians:
It is my pleasure to welcome you and your
student(s) to Bladensburg High School. As the new principal, I am excited and anxious
about the opportunity to prepare students with the skills desired for college
and or career as well as the multiple new programs housed at our school. I look
forward to meeting you and forming a positive energetic partnership.
Parental involvement and consistent communication between
home and school is essential to promote the best interest of your child. This
line of communication will foster a rewarding and enriching educational
experience for students, parents and school personnel. Therefore, you are
encouraged to thoroughly read and utilize the material on the school website
more effectively to coordinate study schedules and routines. Please check the
school website on a weekly basis; this will facilitate communication between
home and school.
I wish to congratulate Mrs. Jordan on her new assignment and
all of her future endeavors. I know that
Mrs. Jordan will be missed and I am a witness to the hard work that she put
into this school and community.
Finally, our objective is to provide a safe, orderly and
challenging academic environment that ensures all students graduate College and
Career Ready. This is best accomplished
through the united efforts of parents, students and teachers. Each of us will
plan wisely, practice effective organizational skills and faithfully support
each other.
Bladensburg High School is "Where excellence is a deliberate practice" and this year
we will "Go beyond expectations."
I am honored to hold this principalship and have high expectations for
the 2012-2013 school year.
Yours in Education,
Ms. Mahoney
