Welcome to Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS)

• Sixty (60) days from the date of hire to enroll in medical, dental, vision and/or prescription benefits 
              and flexible spending accounts (dependent care and/or health care). 
• Thirty (30) days from the date of hire to enroll in supplemental life and/or long term disability benefits
• Thirty (30) days from the date of hire to submit mandatory Maryland State Retirement and Pension 
      System (MSRPS) forms (see table below)

Benefits enrollment is available online in Oracle Self Service.   
Use your PGCPS assigned username and password to log on to Oracle.

Instructions for using Oracle Self Service are available in the Employee Benefits Summary.  

• Enrolling Eligible Dependents:
  • If you are electing Employee+1 or Family coverage you must provide supporting documentation (marriage license, birth certificate, etc.) for all eligible dependents before coverage will become active. 
  • Copies of required documentation can be scanned (scanning instructional video) and emailed to benefits.documents@pgcps.org
  • Please include your Employee Identification Number (EIN) and work site location on all of your supporting documentation.  
  • A list of acceptable supporting documentation can be found in the Employee Benefits Summary or on the Payroll and Benefits Checklist for New Employees.

New Employees must view the online New Employee Orientation in Moodle and complete the Certification of Completion & Evaluation form.
