A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars (reducing your taxable income) for daycare/dependent care and or healthcare expenses and to receive tax-free reimbursement for your eligible out-of-pocket expenses.
PGCPS provides two FSA options. You may sign up for a health care and/or dependent care account within 60 days of your date of hire with a maximum amount of $2,500 (new IRS limit) for health care and $5,000 for dependent care for the 2013 calendar year. The minimum amount for each account is $200.

Changes can only be made to a FSA during the plan year if the employee experiences an eligible family status change (marriage, birth, adoption, etc.).
