PARENTS: Take the Before and Afterschool Survey

As the only school system administered school age child care program in Maryland, it is the goal of the Prince George's County Public School System to provide a safe, enriching environment for Prince George's County elementary school students. The program is designed to enhance the children's social, cultural, educational, and physical development, as well as meet the needs of parents by offering a safe, accessible, and affordable school-based program.

Our programs are licensed by MSDE Office of Child Care and frequently exceeded the State requirements.


PROGRAM OPERATIONS
Child care begins at 7:00 AM and operates until the start of the school day. The afternoon session begins at the end of the school day and operates until 6:00 PM.

Each program is housed in an elementary school, which means parents don’t have to provide transportation between the school and childcare .

The program follows the regular school calendar. When schools are closed, the program is closed. When schools are open for any part of the day, the program is open.
