   We, the staff of Avalon Elementary School, believe that all children can learn and succeed when taught according to their learning style in an environment of high expectations. Teachers, students, families and the community working together will make the difference.

AVALON'S PTO MISSION STATEMENT

    The mission of the of the PTO is to promote the educational goals and objectives as set forth by the principal of Avalon Elementary School and the Prince Georges's Board of Education, Inc.; to promote an organization that embodies a partnership attitude that fully recognizes the importance of cooperation, respect and devotion between the parents and teachers; to work cooperatively to obtain all possible resources to enhance the instructional program; and to promote the welfare of children attending Avalon Elementary School..
